Matter launched the Aera 5000 in India in March 2023. It has a lot of firsts for an Indian electric motorcycle including a manual gearbox, liquid-cooled motor among others.

ev Matter Aera 5000 is loaded to the brim with amenities like 4G connectivity, keyless operation, a seven-inch touchscreen display with onboard navigation, and a nine-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). The bike gets LED lighting throughout, including a bifunctional led projector. Other features like accident detection and auto-reply to calls while riding are also available. The smartphone app also enables the owner to keep track of statistics including charge level, and ride analysis.

Matter Aera 5000 Powertrain The matters Aera 5000’s IP67-rated 11.5kW, liquid-cooled, mid-mounted motor and Matter claims an impressive 520Nm at the wheel. The e-motorcycle gets a 5kWh battery pack which is liquid-cooled. It can provide a claimed real-world range of 125km. It’ll support both standard and fast-charging via a common connector and is equipped with a standard on-board 1kW charger. Charging can also be done using a standard bedroom 5A, three-pin plug point. Using the on-board charger, it can be charged in about five hours.
